How TONZON Thermocushions get the floor
even warmer then the air above the floor

Above: infrared picture of a living room floor, were the ceiling is the
biggest source of thermal radiation. The furniture cast a shadow
of this thermal radiating on the floor. Here the floor is much
colder and the moisture level higher.
The hot spot in the middle is caused by two small TONZON
Thermocushions which are fitted between the beams of the wooden
floor.
The picture below shows a transverse section of a wooden floor
fitted with Thermocushions. Of course the ends of the
Thermocushions are closed, to ensure the inside stays clean.

And how it is possible, the Thermocusions
make the floor warmer then the air above
1. Radiator, stove ed warms
the air. The warm air goes up.
2. The ceiling absorbs warmth from this hot air and radiates it
into the room including the floor. Furnature on the floor give
an infrared shadow. (pictures)
3. The floor absorbs the radiated heat from the ceiling. This
warmth is conducted downwards through the floor.
4.The bottom of the floor radiates the warmth to the cold soil
and the constitutive walls. This is an endless put.

5. The
TONZON Thermocushions are fitted against the bottom of the floor and block the thermal radiator from the bottom of the floor
towards the soil.

The floor can now accumulate the thermal radiation from the ceiling.
7. The floor gets warmer and starts to warm the air above the
floor. Underneath the floor the air inside the
Thermocushions will stratify (including the air above the
cushions). On top it will get as warm as the
floor. Downwards it will slowly cools down.
8. To prevent
moisture from evaporating the soil, uncovered soil is covered with
strong TONZON Ground Foil that also slows down radioactive Radon gas
from entering the crawling space.
